Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her events.
