Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. Following her small debut role as an archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985), she went onto perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte played Taffin (in 1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was invited by a photographer, and began to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build her career as a commercial model. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting profession. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV adaptation of The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. Doody's first leading role came in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role to date in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen, as well as girlfriend in Major League II. She was selected as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody was a part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony for an award. In 2004, she starred alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also set to play the lead role in The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson, the character she played on E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two seasons. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. In November of 2018 she received the Almeria award for best film and received a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
