Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as a professional athlete. Following that, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. A year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making a junior world record by running 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She became the world's youngest champion in 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007 beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three of her competitions.
