Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moore is a remarkable Hollywood author and actress Her talents have won an acclaim from critics as well as recognition. Sagittarius, she was born at the state of North Carolina on 3 December 1960. She's the oldest of three siblings who were born in the home of Peter Moore Smith, a paratrooper and Anne psychologist. She's English as well as Scottish origin. Because of her father's work, the Moore family moved a lot and she struggled to establish relationships or keep them. Moore began acting in plays at Frankfurt American High School when her family relocated to Germany. Her studies continued through Boston University, graduating in 1983 with the degree of a B.F.A. A thesis on Theater. Moore started her theater career off Broadway in New York, after she completed her degree. In 1985 she appeared on the screen as a character in The Edge of Night. The following year, she played the dual roles of Frannie as well as Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns which became her first break. The show aired between 1988 and 1990, and was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award. Her first cinematic appearance was in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. This film was later criticized as a poor low-budget film. Short Cuts (1993), 3 Women (1997), and both were made with Robert Altman. She received several nominations and received praise for her debut film. Moore played her first main character in Safe(1995). Steven Spielberg, who was director of Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997, one of the highest earning films, chose Moore as a lead actor. She was a part of Magnolia (1999) and received a favourable review and was awarded an SAG nod for her role. She was in co-starring roles with Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep along with other actors on The Hours, which was nominated nine times for Academy Awards. Moore also appeared in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) along with a host of others. Non-Stop, a film that she starred in, was released. Moore was in a variety of films and shows. Her most recent starring role is in When You Finish Saving the World (2022). The career of an actress in Hollywood is well established as well as her work as a published children's novelist. Her debut book Freckleface Strawberry was published in 2007 and became a bestseller on the The New York Times. The best-selling book was made into a movie, series, and even into a musical. Her 2013 book, My Mom is A Foreigner was also a best-seller. Moore lives a flamboyant life as a well-known actor and a novelist. Moore was married to John Robin back in 1984 after which they divorced in 1996. They have two children together and a son with Bart Freundlich whom she later got married in 2003. Moore's primary focus is on her friends, family and career.
