Handler aged at the age of 21 made the decision to specialize in stand-up comedy full time following her discovery of storytelling. Handler made her debut on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Poorly, a reality show with concealed cameras and practical jokes. This show aired from 2002 through 2005. The actress began appearing in other shows such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler began her work as an assistant on The Tonight Show. Handler gained notoriety in 2006 hosting an episode on E! Named The Chelsea Handler show. The Chelsea Handler Show ran for 2 seasons.
